iTutor Terms & Conditions

Guarantee Details

Please note that if you exercise one of the guarantees detailed below, you will not be eligible for other guarantee offers. In order to receive any of the benefits of our guarantees, the student must meet all of the iTutor Requirements. We define Requirements as follows: the student must attend every online class, take all practice exams (all sections and essays whether assigned or not), and complete all homework assignments in order to be eligible for any guarantee.

Readiness and Satisfaction Guarantee

If you take a full-length SAT/ACT online prep course (defined as any iTutor course for the SAT/ACT with a minimum of 18 hours of direct instruction,) and you don’t feel ready to take the test, or are unsatisfied with our course for any reason, you are entitled to repeat the course.

Non-Solicitation Agreement

By becoming an iTutor customer, you agree that you will not solicit for employment, hire, or engage as an independent contractor, or permit any organization directly or indirectly controlled by you to solicit for employment, hire, or engage as an independent contractor, any person employed by iTutor at any time during the term of iTutor’s provision of services to you. Any additional services desired of an iTutor employee may be requested through iTutor at 1-855-MY-ITUTOR.

Money Back Guarantee

If you take a full-length SAT/ACT prep course (defined as any iTutor course for the SAT/ACT with a minimum of 18 hours of online instruction) or an 18 hour or more tutoring program, and your official test score does not improve by at least 10 points on the SAT or 1 point on the ACT, you are eligible for a full refund. You must meet the following Requirements:
  • You attend all tutoring sessions, take all practice tests provided in your course materials, and complete all homework within the time period scheduled for your program.
  • You take the official test within 8 weeks following the final session of your program.
  • You present your official test score report to us and request a full refund within 4 weeks following the official test.

K-12 Tutoring

For purposes of measuring improvement with K-12 Tutoring we use a Scholastic evaluation that will be issued to all students before they start their tutoring sessions with us. After a student completes a purchased tutoring package a second scholastic evaluation will be administered to evaluate the students’ progress. To be eligible for satisfaction guarantee a student must complete both scholastic evaluations and attend all scheduled online tutoring sessions.

How We Measure Improvement

For purposes of measuring improvement, we consider an official test score to be your total, official SAT/ACT score (all sections combined). Your "Baseline Score" will be determined as follows:

  • If you have taken an official SAT/ACT test six months or less before the start of any iTutor Prep course, your Baseline Score will be your prior official SAT/ACT score.
  • If you have not taken an official SAT/ACT test six months or less before the start of your SAT/ACT prep course you are not eligible for the money back guarantee.
  • We will compare your Baseline Score with the results of your score on the official test you take within 8 weeks following the final session of the iTutor Prep course.
Disclaimer
We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel any course. Factors outside of iTutor’s control may affect class schedules. In such events, we do our best to schedule a convenient make-up class; however, we cannot guarantee a make-up session will be scheduled or that the make-up will fit the schedule of every student.

Privacy policy
iTutor Inc. respects the privacy of its customers, and visitors. If you have any questions about the operation of our website, please write to info@iTutor.com.

Our website collects names, email addresses, and other personal information from customers, and visitors only when submitted via one of our online forms, such as our subscription form, or mailing list registration form. This data is used solely by iTutor Inc. and is not shared, traded, or sold to third parties-unless customers or registrants opt to receive information from like-minded organizations, in which case we share only names, email addresses, and postal addresses.

Customers can edit their personal information by clicking on My Profile, located in the upper right corner of each page. Registrants can un-register by writing to the email address above. Once you have established a customer account with us, you can opt-out of future promotional mailings by clicking on Unsubscribe in our E-mail correspondences.

Our website also collects non-personal data through the use of server-based "session variables," which we use to achieve important site functionality, including the recognition of logged-in users and the secure passing of shopping cart information. In order to identify customers as they proceed through the checkout process, our website also uses a single "cookie"(a small file stored by your browser on your hard drive); thus, online transactions require a browser that accepts "cookies".

Our web-server also records IP addresses from all visitors to our site. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer when you use the Internet. We use IP addresses to help diagnose problems with our server, to administer our site, to analyze trends, to track user movement, and to gather broad demographic information-all for the purpose of continually improving our website and delivering personalized, custom content. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information, and their collection is standard procedure in most web-server environments. Our website contains links to other websites. Please note that when you click on one of these links, you are entering another website, for which iTutor Inc. is not responsible.
Schools
We work with schools and institutions to provide our tutoring services. iTutor may share personally identifiable information that you provide to us through your participation in these school programs with your school, district and parents. In addition, your school may require us to share your information with others legally entitled to access your academic records, such as your state department of education.

To increase quality of instruction, iTutor will share attendance records and practice test results with a student's school counselor and/or the appropriate administration staff, who also have access to a student's official test scores. Those with access to such records have agreed to maintain confidentiality. If statistics are released to non-authorized individuals, we will remove any identifying information.
Sharing of Information
The privacy of individual user data for school administrators, teachers, parents, and students is always respected and protected. We will never disclose, sell, or rent personal information that identifies any of our students without specific authorization to do so. Only the student, the teacher, the school administration, and the parent(s) have access to this information. Each school has agreed to maintain the confidentiality of this information. iTutor retains the right to release aggregate performance information provided this information is not personally identifiable by district, school or individual students and teachers.
Marketing Lists
From time to time, we obtain lists of people who may be interested in our products and services from third-party marketing list suppliers. We use these lists to send direct marketing promotions by mail. We do our best to only obtain these lists from suppliers who have opt-in policies for third-party marketing, but we are not responsible for the conduct and policies of these suppliers. Please note that even if you are a customer of ours and have asked us not to use the information you provided to us to send promotional material, a third-party marketing list supplier could still provide us with your name and address, in which case you will receive the promotional material sent by us to others on the supplier's list.

Measuring test score improvement – We will compare the results of your official SAT or ACT test taken within 30 days of completing our course or tutoring program with either a) your first practice test score, or b) an official SAT or ACT test score taken within 6 months of the beginning of our course or tutoring program.
Changes in Our Policy
We reserve the right to change or remove this Privacy Policy at our discretion.
