A human body contains 12 pints of blood, where one pint equals 28.875 inches(cubed).
Each cubic mm of blood contains 5 million red blood cells.
There is one white blood cell for every 600 red ones.
Find the number of white blood cells in Mr. Harvie.

12 (pints of blood) * 28.875 (cubis inches/pint) = 346.5 (cubic inches of blood).

The setup failed to give the conversion from cubic inches to cubic millimeters, but it is: 1 cubic inches = 16.3872 cubic centimeters, or 16,387.2 cubic millimeters).

346.5 (cubic inches of blood) * 16,387.2 (cubic millimeters/cubic inch) = 5,678,164.8 cubic millimeters of blood in Mr. Harvie.

5,000,000 (red blood cells/cubic millimeter) * 5,678,164.8 (cubic millimeters) = 28,390,824,000,000 Red blood cells.

28,390,824,000,000 / 600 (white to red blood cell ratio) = 47,318,040,000 white blood cells.

Yes, that's over 47 billion white blood cells for Mr. Harvie.

Yeah, but... Top

What if Mr. Harvie has leukemia? Then the white blood cell count (red to white ratio) would be very different. And what about if he is anemic? And what if he is a 97 lb. weakling versus if his name is "Konishki Harvie"? Fat guys must have more blood than Calista Flockhart. I think this is just too pat of an answer.
